Professional Carpet Restretching in Metro Atlanta

There’s nothing like plush, cozy carpet underfoot. However, heavy foot traffic, moving heavy furniture, and changes in seasonal humidity can cause your carpet to lose its tension. Suddenly, you’re noticing unsightly wrinkles, loose ripples, and bumps—all of which can ruin the look of your carpet and create trip hazards.

Fortunately, you don’t need to replace your carpet! Premium Prestige Flooring offers professional carpet restretching services to restore your carpet to its former beauty. We don’t just use a basic knee-kicker and call it a day. Our team uses professional power stretchers to apply uniform tension across the entire room. We pull the carpet tight, trim away excess material, secure it firmly onto the tack strips, and re-tuck the edges, leaving your carpet looking as good as new.

What Causes Carpet Wrinkles?

Carpet wrinkles aren’t just an eyesore—they’re a clear indicator that your carpet has lost its grip on the tack strips. Some of the most common causes include:

• Dragging heavy furniture: Sliding a heavy couch across your carpet can easily tug it out of place.
• Heavy foot traffic: Similarly, kids and pets running across your carpet—and coming to sudden stops—can cause bunching and rippling.
• Improper installation: If your carpet wasn’t pulled taut with a power stretcher when it was installed, it’s bound to slacken over time.
• Pad degradation: When the carpet padding underneath breaks down, your carpet loses its foundation.
