At Premium Prestige Flooring, an on-site supervisor inspects every phase of your installation and provides a dedicated project manager to act as your single point of contact—from initial estimate to final walkthrough. Here are some of the things we’ll be overseeing during your flooring installation: 

1. Layout Accuracy

Rooms are rarely perfectly square, especially in older Georgia homes. Rather than simply working off the longest exterior wall—which can cause tapered, wedge-shaped planks near prominent focal points—we establish balanced layout grids. We center planks along fireplaces, wide hallway sightlines, and primary entryways.

2. Grain Blending & Color Transitions

Natural wood, laminate, and luxury vinyl feature intentional variations in grain patterns and textures. It can be easy to inadvertently install repeating patterns adjacent to one another or cluster dark planks in a single area. Our supervisors oversee box blending—pulling materials from four to five cartons at once—to guarantee an organic, well-distributed look across the entire room.

3. Expansion Clearances & Doorway Transitions

Flooring materials expand and contract with North Georgia’s seasonal humidity. We inspect perimeter walls, door jambs, supply registers, and vertical posts to verify that the required 1/4" to 1/2" expansion gap is maintained. We also undercut door casings rather than cutting planks around them, resulting in clean, professional transitions.
